As the 28th SEA Games begins to wind down in Singapore, do take this weekend to check out Torch Up!, which will run until the 16th of this month.
Apart from celebrating the medal-hauls of our athletes, let’s look back on the collective efforts put in by the artists who’ve created their public artworks for the event, all in collaboration with the wider community. Richard Koh captures in his photographers of the installation, the exuberance and communal jubilation that often accompanies sportive public spectacles.
For more information on the locations of the installations, do visit The Living Project!‘s facebook page for Torch Up!.

Yen Phang
Despite his legal training, Yen has chosen to pursue a career in the visual arts. Apart from being a closet-painter, Yen Phang is largely still an unknown quantity. Forever random, but always polite.
