Over the course of 6 classes, the workshop will challenge students to think about story as a short-form art and teach them how to bring an idea into a concrete script ready to produce. Together, we explore the fundamentals of storytelling by exploring examples, both visual and written, of successful screenwriters, plays, and short films.
Students should also expect to have their creative writing juices kindled each class in order to inspire and challenge them to write a winning script from the heart! At the end of the programme, students also have the chance to pitch their scripts to film or theatre industry professionals.
The workshop caters to any aspiring writer of stage or film.
