On Friday, March 11, a 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck the northeast coast of Japan, triggering a 33-foot tsunami that flooded Japan’s entire coastline. Hundreds of people were drowned in the tsunami created by the quake. The tsunami affected the U.S. and South American Pacific coasts, as well as Hawaii.
In the aftermath of this tragedy it is wonderful to see humanity at its most giving and to see that art plays a part as well. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the 8.9 magnitude Japan earthquake and Pacific Ocean tsunami.

Touch of art
I saw artists and painters trying to keep things upbeat by painting or drawing beautiful or encouraging drawings for the evacuees around them. I was touched at how everyone was doing their very best to help.
