Known for her arresting, dynamic and colourful abstract oil paintings, Wu’s artwork examine the application of vibrant hues, vivid textures and depth layered with the mastery of Chinese traditional and modern strokes. Her oil paintings are visual expressions of her inner soul, and representations of her fervent modernistic spirit as well as creative inspiration. Over 30 images of Wu’s artwork are selected for this solo exhibition.
Residing in Singapore since 1991, Wu has taken part in many exhibitions. Prior to that, her numerous works had been displayed in various countries including Taiwan, Australia, and Indonesia and collected by organisations and private art connoisseurs such as Singapore Art Museum, China Art Museum and Li Keran Art Museum. She holds a Master Degree in Oil Painting from LaSalle College of Arts in Singapore.
In support of celebrating women’s achievements in the art industry, Goshen Art Gallery has pledged part of its sales proceeds to CRIB, a Singapore-based social enterprise committed to social causes that assist women to become successful entrepreneurs through networking, matchmaking and business incubation.
Visitors are welcome to experience Wu’s take on contemporary abstract art at this complimentary art exhibition. Rhapsody of Colours will be on showcase 11:00am to 8:00pm daily from 3 February 2016 to 1 May 2016 at the Public Art Space on Level 2 of Pan Pacific Singapore.
