Internationally renowned dance-maker, Jerome Bel, creates a new work that celebrates individuality, featuring non-performers and professionals. GALA encourages individuals to contribute their own unique energies, and make the performance their own.
The cast of GALA comprises of different body types as well as physical abilities. Featuring professional dancers and actors, national athlete, an individual in a wheelchair, and another with Down syndrome. Also featured will be children, teenagers and retirees, whom have no formal training in the performing arts. GALA is set to defy what a typical performance really is.
