At the July 2012 HeritageFest Chinese clan association walk, we discovered that there are paintings, dance performances and concerts in them.
Paintings in the Kong Chow Wui Koon (Guangzhou clan association in Chinese dialect, Cantonese), which is about 170 years old.
Concert hall in the Kong Chow Wui Koon, usually for Chinese opera performances, sometimes for modern dance (hence the mirrors).
Kong Chow Wui Koon has accepted members of any race since the 1950s.
Nanyin performance at the Siong Leng Musical Association in classical Chinese dialect, Hokkien.
Nanyin is on Unesco’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Some international Nanyin events have been organised by Singapore.
