From colliding bullets frozen in a ballistics gel block, to stop-motion music videos and a vivid imagining of a post-apocalyptic future, observe the shifting boundaries between moving image, film and art in Singapore Art Museum’s latest exhibition, “Cinerama: Art and the Moving Image in Southeast Asia”.
Through hand-drawn animation and immersive video installations by 10 artists and art collectives from the region (including Ming Wong (Singapore), Korakrit Arunanondchai (Thailand), Tromorama (Indonesia) and Victor Balanon (Philippines)), Cinerama explores the changing forms and contexts of the moving image over time. #cineramaSG
