ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu 2014 which returns for its fifth year to recognise Singapore’s most outstanding photographer. This year, ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu 2014 will be held at the National Museum of Singapore from 20 Aug to 5 Sept in conjunction with the Singapore Night Festival and 7 photographers – Ang Song Nian, Eugene Soh, Jeannie Ho,Lavender Chang, Ken Cheong, Neo Xiaobin and Wilfred Lim – will vie for the top prize of $30,000.
In addition to exhibiting the works by the nominated photographers, ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu 2014 will also feature a presentation that draws the parallels between both photography and cognac making as well as an interactive room. The interactive room is a collaboration between Martell and ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu 2013 winner Sarah Choo to convey the message that discernment is in the details which play an important role both in photography and cognac making. The interactive piece has been developed by Sarah using her very own style and visual language, offering the public to play the part of the artist for a few minutes as they visit the exhibition.
