Hong Kong Arts Development Council, JOCKEY CLUB New Arts Power is delighted to invite you and the public to submit creative visual expressions for two original musical compositions written by Fung Lam and Teriver Cheung for Hong Kong Episodes.
Hong Kong Episodes is a collaborative, cinematic-music journey created by three local talents: Fung Lam, one of Asia’s top composers; jazz guitarist and composer Teriver Cheung; and Hong Kong architect Anthony Lai. Through original compositions set to immersive visuals, Hong Kong Episodes interprets the unique sensibilities of the city in a creative and meaningful way. Hong Kong Episodes returns to Tai Kwun in January 2019.
Hong Kongers are now invited to share their own innovative, Hong Kong-themed imagery to accompany two selected compositions, Untitled by Fung Lam and Stillness by Teriver Cheung. Selected entries will have the opportunity to be part of the exhibition held at the new community space H6 CONET in Central, from 19 December 2018 to 14 January 2019. Participants will also have the chance to win tickets to Hong Kong Episodes.
Theme:
With Hong Kong as the theme, feel free to get creative and explore new visual expressions to share your very own Hong Kong Episodes.
Method:
Share your work to Facebook or Instagram with a description of no more than 50 words, and hashtag#SnapYourHongKongEpisodes. Remember to set it as a Public Post!
Format:
Minimum 3 photographs and maximum 10 as a series (please briefly illustrate their linkage in your description) or one 18-second moving image.
