Gearing up to its upcoming 2013 Affordable Art Fair (AAFS) happening in Singapore this coming November, the AAFS team unveiled it’s 2013 activities with two new additions to the fair. In additions to the 95 galleries participating from all over the world in a 5,000 square meter space at the F1 Pit Building at 1 Republic Boulevard from the 21st – 24th November, an Under S$1,000 Wall and the 2012 Young Talents Award was revealed at the press preview.
The fair will showcase a diverse selection of contemporary artworks across a variety of styles from abstract to figurative, and mediums including paintings, sculptures and photography. All priced between SG$100 to SG$10,000, with 75 percent of the works priced under SG$7,500.
Under SG$1,000 Wall
This year, AAFS will open up an additional level on the 3rd floor of the F1 Pit Building, showcasing works that are below SG1,000. This enables visitors to easily pick up art pieces that fit their purse strings without getting lost in the higher priced artworks.

The 2012 Young Talent Award/2013 Young Talent Programme
Following its launch last year, The Young Talent Programme 2013 feature continues to be a platform for emerging artists under the age of 35 to build their experience, whilst providing a focal point for contemporary art dealers ad collector to access fresh works from the region.
The 2012 Young Talent Programme Winners Artworks was revealed at ION Art Gallery. Featuring contemporary works by three young female artists, Alecia Neo, Lavender Chang and Vellanchi Ganesan.
The fair promised to excite its visitors with artworks by celebrated artists, Anish Kapoor and Marc Quinn, alongside Singapore’s establishes artists such as, Ong Kim Seng and Boo Sze Yang, and rising stars such as Aaron Gan and Henry Lee.
A schedule of activities for the little ones will also be available at the fair. Parents will be able to shop at ease as their children get babysit and become little artists at the Children’s Art Studio run by Art Boot Camp. And visitors will also be able to recharge and refuel at the Restaurant, Bar and Cafe, and Lounge where Foodology Catering Services will be offering delicious food and beverages.
